It's been a while since I've posted to the blog, and I wanted to update you on how we're doing.
Julie is recovering nicely from her hip surgery. In fact, her progress has been even faster than her previous surgery last February, and she is now walking without a cane. She still has some discomfort, especially if she's been on her feet for a while, but is up and around and doing things around the house. Yesterday she decorated the whole house for Christmas, and it looks great.
I am doing fine. My energy remains strong, and I am back to seeing clients in both Kilmarnock and Warrenton. I am still learning what I can eat and not eat, and my weight has dropped slightly. We have been following a (mostly) Vegan diet and have found it difficult to gain weight on that regime. We have decided to vary from the diet some in order to get more protein, fat and calories, but are still eating mostly veggies.
Holidays are family times, and we've been busy seeing my family. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with Elizabeth, Jayson, Ian, Ashley and Dan. Elizabeth and Ashley fixed a great dinner, and we all enjoyed each other's company for a few days with walks, games, and good times. My sister, Susan, visited us from Colorado a week ago, and we had a lovely three days. Susan also visited sister Beth and my mom and dad, and I think managed to see just about every Walmart in the area. We've also seen my parents, Art and Marion Seder, several times during the last few weeks. They remain active, busy and in good health.
Now we're getting ready for Christmas. Almost all presents are bought, the Christmas cards are in the mail, the house is decorated, so we're feeling like we're (mostly) on top of things. We are lucky to have Elizabeth and family visiting us again for the holidays and will also spend some time at Ashley and Dan's new house. We'll see Beth and her family and my mom and dad too, so it should be a wonderful holiday. We wish the same for each of you.
