Early December Update

It's been a while since I've posted to the blog, and I wanted to update you on how we're doing.

Julie is recovering nicely from her hip surgery. In fact, her progress has been even faster than her previous surgery last February, and she is now walking without a cane. She still has some discomfort, especially if she's been on her feet for a while, but is up and around and doing things around the house. Yesterday she decorated the whole house for Christmas, and it looks great.

I am doing fine. My energy remains strong, and I am back to seeing clients in both Kilmarnock and Warrenton. I am still learning what I can eat and not eat, and my weight has dropped slightly. We have been following a (mostly) Vegan diet and have found it difficult to gain weight on that regime. We have decided to vary from the diet some in order to get more protein, fat and calories, but are still eating mostly veggies.

Holidays are family times, and we've been busy seeing my family. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with Elizabeth, Jayson, Ian, Ashley and Dan. Elizabeth and Ashley fixed a great dinner, and we all enjoyed each other's company for a few days with walks, games, and good times. My sister, Susan, visited us from Colorado a week ago, and we had a lovely three days. Susan also visited sister Beth and my mom and dad, and I think managed to see just about every Walmart in the area. We've also seen my parents, Art and Marion Seder, several times during the last few weeks. They remain active, busy and in good health.

Now we're getting ready for Christmas. Almost all presents are bought, the Christmas cards are in the mail, the house is decorated, so we're feeling like we're (mostly) on top of things. We are lucky to have Elizabeth and family visiting us again for the holidays and will also spend some time at Ashley and Dan's new house. We'll see Beth and her family and my mom and dad too, so it should be a wonderful holiday. We wish the same for each of you.

Hi Jim

If you would like to gain some weight, why not look at the weight-gain products sold in health - or sportstores.
These shake-type foods would be easy on the digestive system and would make you bulk up easily. Just be careful, before you know it you'll look like Arnie !

Big Hugs

Thanks, Jeroen. I will look into these. We have been trying to avoid dairy based products as a part of the Vegan thing we’re doing, but as I said in my post, we need to keep my weight up too, so need to strike some sort of balance.

Hey Jim, so nice to hear from you via the Blog. All is going very well for us, we have yet to start building in Mexico, but hopefully in the next couple weeks Miguel will be able to go and get the builder to start. We manage to stay happy still working with the horses and taking care that Larry is happy,(works most of the time) Again I want to thank you for being such a major part of my joyful life, the past is forgotten and when I do look back I'm thankful for the trials, as my life is richer for it. With a deep and loving appreciation Jim you are in our thoughts and prayers. Suzanne
ps. your grandson is perfectly beautiful! Best wishes on the next bundle of joy!
